IT Project Leader - Gainesville Regional Utilities
Gainesville Regional Utilities' (GRU) Information Technology Department is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Project Leader to support various utility and city government projects involving information technology with the City of Gainesville. Example projects and work would include leading or facilitating the planning and implementation of new technology initiatives, upgrades or replacements to current systems/applications, and advising/consulting on best project management practices related to IT.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, math, or related subject, and six (6) years of related work experience in information technology, which includes two (2) years of lead, supervisory or project management level experience, preferably in information technology,
or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, math or related field may substitute for one (1) year of the non-supervisory work experience.
A current Project Management Professional certification may substitute for one (1) year of the non-supervisory work experience.
