KUAGeneral Definition of Work
Provides complex and routine administrative support to assist with the delivery of HR related services to internal and external customers. This is an exempt level position and job functions require independent work with a hands-on approach. Work duties may include a wide range of HR functions to include, but not limited to, employment, employee relations, benefits, health and wellness programs, performance management, policy interpretation and compliance, human resource information system (HRIS), training, and organizational development. Assist with the administration of employee health, dental, life and supplemental insurance programs. Work is performed under general supervision of the Human Resources Manager.

Typical Tasks
Performs work tasks in a wide range of HR related functions. Assists with the program administration of employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training and development, performance and talent management, recognition and wellness programs. Assists with maintaining employee files in HRIS. Assists with administering and maintaining various health related programs and associated paperwork, records and files. Assists with reviewing, tracking and documenting compliance of mandatory and non-mandatory training and continued education. Responds to all HR related inquires as necessary and directed. Reviews and reconcile health program billings for accuracy and ensures all payments are made in a timely manner. Monitors and tracks FMLA and COBRA program activity and is responsible for maintaining appropriate records. Assists with monitoring compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPPA, and FLSA and other federal and state regulations as directed. Produces reports and analyze data for various HR functions. Assists in the planning and execution of wellness projects and events. Develops and makes presentations as directed. Provides department administrative support as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and federal and state regulations. Must be proficient processing statistical data and using spreadsheets. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Work in an HRIS environment - Great Plains applications desired. Ability to quickly learn talent and performance management systems. Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Must have a polite, cordial and approachable demeanor. Must be able to work well with employees, management, program affiliates and general public. Comprehensive knowledge of employee health and insurance programs and practices. Comprehensive knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, HIPPA, FLSA and ADA regulations and guidelines. Must have good analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to maintain changes within carrier system(s). Ability to effectively and proficiently maintain program files and records. Must have the ability to be flexible and work under pressure. Ability to travel as necessary. Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to respond during KUA emergencies as directed. Must be able to lift or displace up to 20 pounds.

Education and Experience
B.S./B.A. Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources or related field. A minimum of 3 years of HR experience required. Any combination of education and training. Certification in human resources related field preferred. Must possess a Florida driver’s license.
