Michael Edgar is an accomplished environmental scientist, business executive, and regulatory professional with 40 years of experience leading large organizations while integrating effective technical and managerial skills. Michael has successfully managed/directed a diverse range of projects, including power generation, transmission and distribution permitting and operations consulting, industrial and municipal landfill closure, water supply and wastewater treatment system design/ permitting/construction, surface water quality studies, waste management, and multi-media regulatory compliance. He has extensive experience in Federal and State environmental permitting, environmental resource and wetland mitigation permitting, water use permitting, writing and evaluating environmental rules and policies, contamination assessment and remediation, health and safety training programs, and computerized cost models.
Prior to joining AECOM, Michael managed permitting and regulatory compliance as the Director of the Division of Regulatory Services with the Northwest Florida Water Management District (NWFWMD).
