Honorary Membership
FMEA Awards
Any Regular, Associate or Affiliate may be designated by the Board of Directors as an Honorary Member. An Honorary Member shall be a person who has been a Regular, Associate or Affiliate Member representative for a minimum of five years and whose practical, technical, economic or political knowledge in matters relating to municipal electric utilities has resulted in distinguished service to the membership of the Association and whose accomplishments, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, have entitled the Honorary Member to special recognition by the Association. Honorary Members are granted complimentary registration to all FMEA annual meetings and major workshops and seminars.
Criteria and Selection Process: Individuals are eligible for recognition as Honorary Members only when they have become ineligible to represent a Regular, Associate or Affiliate Member. Honorary Members must be proposed in writing to the Board of Directors by at least five member representatives. The qualifications of the candidate in accordance with the criteria established above must be set forth in the written proposal.
