Steven S. Miller

Mr. Miller specializes in analysis and design for transmission lines and substations, and investigation and rehabilitation of existing steel and concrete structures. He is currently Senior Director of the Power Delivery and Structures group at GAI and manages projects and provides innovative solutions.
Mr. Miller has managed 100s of transmission line projects valued at over $100 million (Engineering Fees) since he began managing the GAI Transmission Line Engineering Department in 2005. He is intimately familiar with substation, structural, geotechnical, and grading design along with permitting, material procurement and construction monitoring. Additionally, he has provided underground (HPFF, HPGF, XLPE) and overhead line design for new and existing lines, including: preparation of construction documents, shop drawing review, vendor calculation review for custom steel pole, tower and h-frame structures, bill of material preparation, material procurement, and construction monitoring assistance.
